CSA Harvest Day

 On Tuesday, they had Harvest day for their CSA. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Local farms produce veggies and fruits and things and people in the community can sign up for a year (or sometimes a half year) - this is called a 'share' - to receive a box of these weekly or biweekly (or however it's set up). Here in Waco, they grow things pretty much all year, so people in the CSA receive produce all but 2 months of the year (I think that's what they told me). It's a great deal for people who want to receive fresh organic produce and help support local farms. So Tuesday we went out to the gardens and picked all sorts of things. It was really fun to see all sorts of fun things growing! And even more fun to see them in November.

First stop: Liana beans.
